The Old Students of St Lawrence Grammar School Ilesa 1983 set has reeled out plans to celebrate 40th anniversary of graduating from the school.
In a Statement by the Old Students Association, they have kickstarted the construction of three sport pitches – a standard Basketball pitch that will stand side by side with a standard Volleyball pitch, and a standard handball pitch for St. Lawrence’s Grammar School and the improvement of the football field, and provision of 2 standard Table tennis courts for the citadel of learning in celebration of the 1983 Old Students 40th anniversary of graduating from the school.
According to them, their intension is to spend a minimum of Ten Million Naira for these projects.
All these laudable projects they said are part of activities to mark the 40th reunion anniversary which will come up on 29th and 30th of September, 2023.
It would be recalled that the 83 set donated a big hall to the school in 2020 just as the publisher of Ijesa News and a member of the set Mr Sunday Adewusi also donated a set of table tennis to the school during his 50th birthday few years ago.
In the same vein,the national body of the old student donated a well equipped laboratory for the school in 2022.
The 1983 Old Students of St Lawrence Grammar School Ilesa noted that with the way rapid developments are taking place in institution of learning, It will soon be widely regarded as the best in Ijesaland and Osun State in no distant time.
