A Student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife identified as Subair Enitan, is seeking to set the Guinness World Record for the longest hour of handwashing by an individual called Wash-a-ton .
Miss Subair Enitan will be starting the clothes washing marathon at Sub Car Park OAU Campus Ile-Ife on 24th November 2023 and is expected to wash clothes for three days.
She is hoping to reach 50 hours on 26th November 2023.
One of the organizers of the event, Luqman AbdulFatai who spoke with LoveNigeria News said Guinness World Record has approved the attempt for Subair Enitan, to set the Guinness World Record for the longest hour of handwashing.
He said, “She will be the one setting the record, no one has ever attempted it before and it has been approved by the GuinnessWorld Record”
Inspired by the Nigerian chef Hilda Baci’s world record for the longest cooking marathon, Many Nigerian youths have been making attempts at setting or breaking world records in different spheres of life.
Guinness World Records at some point said they had received some 1,500 applications from Nigerians in just two months.
