President Tinubu Vows Enhanced Security, Modernization of Nigerian Air Force

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prioritizing national security and the welfare of the armed forces.

At the 60th Anniversary Ceremonial Parade of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in Kaduna, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, he praised the NAF’s six decades of service and their crucial role in regional security.

The President highlighted substantial investments in modern military aircraft and equipment, including Beechcraft King Air 360, Diamond 62 surveillance aircraft, T-129 ATAK helicopters, Agusta 109 helicopters, and M-346 attack aircraft to enhance NAF’s capabilities.

He stressed the importance of a Whole-of-Society approach to tackling security challenges and expressed confidence in Nigeria’s economic recovery.

Honoring past and present NAF personnel, Tinubu called for increased strategic partnerships to address shared security threats.

Key attendees included Senate Committee of Defence Chairman Sen. Ahmed Lawan, Defence Minister Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, and other top military officials and Government Officials
