The former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Bisi Akande has emphasized the significance of Nigeria’s unity amidst its diverse population recounting the numerous challenges and prophecies of doom faced by President Tinubu before and after his election, celebrating the President’s resilience and successes despite the odds.
Speaking during his opening remarks at the one-year anniversary celebration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, held at the Arewa House in Kaduna, the former Governor of Osun State said “Since 1953, our polity has faced threats to our unity, but we have always emerged stronger,” .
He noted the widespread skepticism about Tinubu’s candidacy and election, as well as the intense political and judicial battles that followed. Despite these, Tinubu’s presidency has been upheld, and Nigeria continues to thrive under his leadership.
Chief Akande expressed his conviction that Nigeria will continue to progress and prosper under Tinubu’s administration calling on all Nigerians, regardless of their differences, to focus on sustaining a united, peaceful, and prosperous nation.
He urged the audience to reflect on the country’s achievements and challenges in infrastructure, education, health, and agriculture.
The event marked a significant milestone in President Tinubu’s administration, celebrating the strides made in his first year in office and reinforcing the commitment to national unity and development.
