Osun to Host Industrial Investment Summit in September 2024

The Osun State Government, under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke has announced plans to host an Industrial Investment Summit this September.

The announcement was made in a press statement by the Summit Consultant, Prince Rotimi Awelewa, in Osogbo.

Scheduled to take place from September 11 to September 13, 2024, the three-day event will be held at the Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding, Cultural Centre, Abeere, Osun State. The summit, themed “Connecting Progress with Purpose,” aims to position Osun State as a significant industrial and commercial hub in Nigeria and West Africa.

The summit’s organization follows the inauguration of the Central Working Committee for the event by the State Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, on May 10, 2024.

The event is designed to highlight bankable opportunities and provide strategic matchmaking platforms, bringing together key stakeholders in the Osun industrial ecosystem to foster partnerships and investments. According to Prince Awelewa, the primary goal of the summit is to establish an economic policy agenda that accelerates industrial investments in Osun State, grounded in sustainable and inclusive development.

“The Summit seeks to identify and address the key challenges and opportunities for transforming Osun State’s economy, with a particular focus on Agriculture, Industrial Advancement, Manufacturing, Tourism, and Capital Investment,” Awelewa stated.

The event aims to drive significant industrial investment and economic growth across all areas of Osun State. It will also focus on leveraging the state’s industrial, agricultural, mining, tourism, and ICT potentials to create sustainable wealth for its people and the nation.

This year’s summit is expected to be a pivotal event, setting the stage for future industrial development and economic prosperity in Osun State.
